Direct Access Telephone Service
📞0300 300 0024
(Available Monday to Friday, 08:45–16:15, excluding Bank Holidays)
This service offers direct access to advice and assessment for foot-related problems.
When you call, a podiatrist will ask you a series of questions to better understand your issue. To make the call as smooth as possible, please have the following information ready:
Details about your foot problem
Any medical conditions you have
A list of medications you are taking
Your NHS or hospital number (if available)
After assessing your needs, the podiatrist will recommend the most suitable next steps. This could include:
Advice and guidance over the phone
An appointment at a podiatry clinic for further examination and a personalised treatment plan
If a clinic appointment is needed, you will be seen based on how urgent your condition is. You may also be sent relevant health information after the telephone assessment if appropriate.
